Big question I have right off the bat.

Did why I'm missing high school play on Thanksgiving?

Because when I grew up in suburban Philly, we always played on Thanksgiving.

No, we don't.

I'm about an hour west.

So we never had that tradition of playing on Thanksgiving, which is fine because this is the first time in a long, long time that we're not playing tonight.

We're not playing in the playoffs in the state semifinals the day after Thanksgiving.

So I think Thanksgiving games are amazing.

I wish we did.

But thankfully, we typically have a playoff game anyway.

Well, let's move on to the Detroit Lions.

And is there a bit of shock that they are performing the way they are?

Or is this to be expected with the film that they've put out there the last couple of weeks yeah i wouldn't say

shock john um you know i really thought yesterday's game could go either way and the reality is

you know if you flip a couple of those fourth downs or even, you know, if the game was officiated

a little bit differently, you know, the game could have gone the other way. The real issue

is that the lions are in all these games that could go either way. And they're winning some

of them. They're losing some of them. You know, they're clearly not the team they were last year.

Because I don't want to remember them being in nearly as many close competitive games last year.

It felt like a lot of those games they kind of rolled and put up huge points and blew teams out.

That has not been the case.

They're not as dominant on the offensive line
