January 16th, 1987 was a typical day when the Botany Bay flower shop was beginning to open.

It was just a few minutes before 8 a.m., Randall Benton, who had only been working there for a month in Atlanta,

was opening the shop up, eager to please the boss.

And like normal, Randall turned on the lights,

unlocked the front door,

and then he went to the back of the store

to bring the cash register to the front.

During the nights, they hid the register in the cooler

so that no one could find it.

And he was surprised when he heard the

sliding door open. It was almost as if the customer was waiting outside, which came off as a

surprise, because rarely did the flower shop have anyone waiting on him to open the door in the

morning. And not to mention, he still hadn't finished his morning routine of opening up the shop.

Today, we are continuing the story from last week about the tragic death of Lita McClinton, an African-American

Atlanta socialite who met her death when she opened her door at her Atlanta townhouse in the early

morning hours to a flower delivery man, or at least someone she thought was a flower delivery man.

Fueled by greed and an unchecked ego, Jim Sullivan's desire for control didn't end with

divorce papers.

He wanted Lita erased.
