U.S. stocks eat out small gains today as enthusiasm for artificial intelligence continued

to drive the market.

The S&P 500 and Dow climbed about 0.2% while the NASDAQ climbed 0.1%.

Oil prices, meanwhile, rose 2.8% as diplomacy efforts between the

U.S. and Iran stalled, leaving no clear path to reopen the Strait of Hormuz. Among individual

companies, Intel stock climbed nearly 4% as the frenzy for AI chips continued. Micron Technology

stocks also soared by 6.5%. Meanwhile, FC shares rose more than 7% after reporting results that were better than analysts expected.

The company performed well despite not broadcasting the Super Bowl this year.

Shares of the biomedical company Moderna, which has been researching vaccines to protect against

hantavirusesavirus fell by nearly 3%.

Mid-cap financial investment shares slipped 5% after a report that Apollo Global Management

may sell the private business.
