| 0:56.9 | the year before when the president declared Liberation Day. And while many people had been calling |
| 1:03.0 | for a complete breakdown or crash in markets, I felt this would be an echo of what happened last |
| 1:09.5 | year, a sharp downturn with a fast rebound. |
| 1:13.1 | And that's what we're seeing right now. |
| 1:14.8 | The S&P 500 crossed over 7,000 today. |
| 1:18.9 | And the all-time high was 7,0002 reached on January 28th. |
| 1:24.7 | Now this put the S&P 500 at up just 2.14% for the year, but that's a lot better than having |
| 1:31.8 | a negative return. And in the last 12 months, the S&P 500 is up a whopping 32.55%. The Dow Jones Industrial |
| 1:40.5 | average is up 0.59% year to date and 21.83% in the last 12 months. And the tech |
| 1:47.9 | heavy NASDAQ is up 2.53% year to date and 46.14% in the last 12 months. Now in between all |
| 1:56.4 | of this, there's been a lot of volatility with the price of oil, would talk of war, etc. But in the end, |
| 2:02.7 | the stock market is really about earnings. What is the profitability of companies? And this year, |
| 2:08.2 | it's projected that earnings will run at a rate of about 17% gains on average. That portends for us |
| 2:15.6 | to have a spectacular year by the end of this year. Now in terms of |
| 2:20.0 | news-driven events, there's a lot of talk about is this the end of the war? Is this not the end of |
