Today's story is called Stinky Sox.

Let's get into it.

Music Let's get into it. This is the story of Aaliyah, the girl who loved competitions. From races to paper airplane contests,

Alia was always excited to get involved in any

type of competition she could. Her goal was always to come in first place, but she had never

pulled that off, nor had she come in second, or third, or fourth. Heck, she would have been happy with

57th place, but she hadn't had that happen yet either.

The problem was that when it was time to compete, though she loved it,

Alia always turned into a nervous Nelly.

Before the paper airplane flying competition, she could fly her airplane perfectly straight,

but as soon as the judges were watching, suddenly she could only make her

airplane fly backwards, often landing in someone's ear. At science camp one time, there was a contest to

build the biggest tower using only spaghetti and marshmallows. Well, it started out okay, but then

Alia got nervous and ate the spaghetti. A judge tried to make Alah feel better by explaining that kids ate materials all the time in this competition.

Though it was usually the marshmallows, not the crunchy spaghetti.

And then at a recent running race, Aaliyah got off to a fantastic start and was in the lead for a long time,

until she began feeling nervous and her legs started to wobble.
