Sure. Thanks so much for having me. It's a pleasure to join you all.

And it's a pleasure to see you again, Nick. It's been a long time.

My name is David Adler. I'm a political economist by training. I currently serve as the co-general coordinator of the Progressive International, a global

coalition of trade unions and social movements and political parties across the world.

And it was in that capacity as co-general coordinator that I was invited to take part in the

recent global Sumoomut flotilla to break the siege

and to deliver some pretty basic humanitarian supplies to starving people of Gaza, of the Gaza Strip.

And I'm speaking to you some days after our release from Israeli internment in the middle of the Negev desert, where we were subjected to some pretty awful conditions that I think are very revealing of the broader condition or disregard, disdain with which the state of Israel treats international law and

condition of our Palestinian brothers and sisters are just on the other side of that camp,

from the other side of that fence and outside of the border in Gaza.

Yeah, we were all watching not just this flotilla, but the ones that preceded it as well as the ones that are

currently ongoing. We are in a moment that's, you know, I think being framed by the Western
