I'm always glad to introduce a new comedian, especially on Friday nights because Friday night audiences are usually up.

This young man is from Boston. It's his first appearance on national television, and I think

you're going to find him a little different. Would you welcome? Stephen Wright.

I... Thanks. I had a dream that all the babies prevented by the pill showed up.

They were mad.

I was Caesarian born.

Can't really tell.

Although, whenever I leave a house, I go out through the window. I go out through the window. Well, that, of course is the great Stephen Wright.

And Stephen Wright is somebody that is, I remember growing up in the age of HBO.

He was one of the first comedians I was ever exposed to.

Actually, one of the first that I was allowed to watch.

Because around that time, to be honest, it was, I don't mean to lump the two together, it was Bill Cosby and Stephen Wright. Like there was the only two. No naughty words. No, no, no. Because that was the era when you had Carlin doing a bunch of stuff on HBO and I believe Richard Pryor, you know, there was a lot of that. But Stephen Wright, that was, I mean, he was probably the first comedian that I became a huge fan of. And it's great to have Stephen in studio. He's going to be at, let me make sure I got this stuff for me. It's the Porter Square Books on Monday, May 7th, talking about his brand new book, Harold. It's a novel that he's written.
