Even though we have more media, more sophisticated ways of exchanging information, we seem to be

less able to really see other people around us accurately.

It's just getting easier and easier to surround ourselves with people who not only agree

with us, but help caricature the folks across town.

My guest, Stephen Waldman, began his career as a reporter and editor for Newsweek and

US News and World Report.

In the late 1990s, he pioneered and founded belief net, which is now an eminent internet

site for religious news, ideas, and resourcing used by millions.
