In a video clip from the podcast hosted in October 2021, Tompkins sits in his office,

trophies and honors arranged in the background, a small silver sheriff's badge glints on his lapel.

Tompkins has an easy demeanor, laughing while he interviews his friend and mentor, Andrea Cabral,

the former sheriff of Suffolk County and current CEO of Ascend Wellness, a cannabis company.

One topic they discuss on this podcast is the possibility of federal cannabis legalization.

These two people definitely have interesting perspectives on the matter. Both

have served as Sheriff of Suffolk County, a position that would often place them at odds with

recreational drug users. But Andrea Cabral made an unexpected career shift when she moved

directly from law enforcement to the cannabis industry.

As they sign off from the interview, Tompkins says goodbye to Cabral and in reference to her

new business venture says this.
