This video refutes, with scripture, the teaching of Steven Anderson. I focus on the gospel and a biblical analysis of his teaching as well as trying to offer real clarity on the topic of homosexuality. I hope that this video helps Christians and non-Christians to better understand the biblical view of these issues. Even if we don't agree, it is good to get clarity and to show that Steven Anderson's doctrine is not biblical. 0:05.8	biblically about everything. This video is meant to refute some of the teaching of Stephen Anderson.

0:17.1	And before I get into anything else, I think I should answer the obvious question,
0:21.0	Mike, why are you doing a video meant to refute this guy? Let me give you a few
0:25.7	reasons why I think this is actually a really important video to do and why I've decided to
0:30.0	spend some time on it. First he has a a significant following. On YouTube, he's got
0:34.6	120,000 subscribers, but there's also a significant following off YouTube in his own
0:40.3	church as well as other related churches. Now I'm not meaning to attack any of these
0:44.8	people or come against them in any way shape or form. This is meant to be like a
0:48.5	lifeline to anybody who is being influenced by Stephen Anderson who is open to the idea that maybe he's not quite
0:56.7	biblically sound in some of the teaching that he has. So I want to reach those people with a biblical analysis so that I can impact those who are being impacted in a negative way.
1:07.0	Also, he's not only followed on YouTube, but he gets propped up by the media.
1:13.7	For whatever reason, the media for their financial motivations they have.
1:16.5	They like putting up sensationalists and oftentimes Stephen Anderson is the sensationalist who gets
1:20.9	called on by the media.
1:22.4	In many cases, in fact you could just
1:24.4	type in his name in the search engine with the phrase interview next to it and you'll
1:28.5	see the first search result are from like USA Today, from BBC, from Associated Press, he's getting a lot of press and for that
1:38.0	reason he ends up being shopped out as though he's the representative of Christianity and the things that you're about to hear that he says are not a representation of Christianity.
1:49.4	Their representation of something entirely different, something that's actually antithetical to the full biblical gospel.
1:57.5	And that's the third reason.
