He still is, of course, but so many sports fans in this city look forward to that Steve Summers monologue every night. Every night. It was genius. He would sit there and get a kick out of watching him write it. I saw him write it many times. So good. On the legal pads. Yeah. And he'd write it and then he would deliver it and it was perfect. And to this day when they talk about the most most popular WFAN hosts, you could talk all day about Mike and the Mad Dog, and they were the most popular. Summers is right there. I really wasn't.
