And you have this

seems like ordinary times confirmation hearing playing out in front of the Senate where the

president's nominee to be Federal Reserve Board Chair is answering all the questions, ducking the punches,

sticking the landings. It seems like something you would have watched 20 years ago, but this is not normal times.

And Trump has jammed himself up on this.

He has made it impossible, seemingly impossible, Steve, for the Senate to confirm this guy because he's continuing on with these bogus investigations of his political critics,

including the current Reserve Board Chair Jerome Powell.
