Republican congressional leadership remained silent.

Those crickets, as President Trump's war with Iran, continues without congressional approval.

Steve, this ceasefire is tenuous, and Democrats are understandably focusing on the president's

language this week, threatening to end an entire civilization.

But most Republican lawmakers and leadership have been quiet about this.

How could their silence do you think impact the party in November?

Well, I think that it is part of a broad mosaic of issues that the American people are evaluating,

and in evaluating, have looked at Trump and said, wow, is he unfit?

Which explains why his approval levels are down at 30%, 32%, 33%, depending on what the poll is.

Every Republican understands that MAGA will be wiped out in this midterm election ahead. The question is, should there

be a check on Donald Trump? And though the Republican Congress has answered it, with a resounding no,

the American people believe the answer to that question should be a resounding yes.

And one of the great evidence pieces is going to be the war that Donald Trump started with Iran

and lost turning, for example, the Strait of Hormuz from an international waterway into an Iranian toll road

in the process, transferring billions of dollars of cash to the Iranians, to the Russians,

strengthening the Chinese hand in one of the foremost strategic disasters in the country's history,

which is to say a lot over the last 25 years when we've had no shortage of strategic disasters.
