author of the new book about the Ukraine War, the theater released by Simon and Schuster nominee for Book of the Year Award.

James, welcome.

One of the things that I think is defining about the coverage of the Ukraine war in the United

States, that is that it's the only

place in the world where it's an American story.

In the rest of the world, it's a story about a war that's killed over a million people

between Russia and Ukraine.

You've covered that war.

I think it has enormous implications strategically for the next decades of the 21st century.

I think there are a lot of analogies that can be drawn from that war that apply in a

straight line from the Nazi experiences in 1930s, Spain on behalf of Franco,

where you saw the introduction of German dive bombers at the front edge of the Air war, Ukraine, the first true drone war.

And we are sitting here in this war in Europe years into it, Donald Trump, having thoroughly betrayed America's ideals, values from where I sit in regard to it all.

Tell us about the book and what you were trying to get across about this war to the reader.
