Rupert Murdoch, the decrepit 92-year-old chairman of News Corps, has announced his retirement

for the day-to-day affairs of the company that he built. This, of course, raises a question.

What can possibly be said upon this occasion to commemorate the end of a career and the empire of lies and malice and hate that he is built?

And that has destabilized democracy in his native Australia here in the United States, as well as the United Kingdom.

What can possibly be said beyond good riddance?

Rupert Murdoch is the most dangerous immigrant who ever arrived on American shores.

This terrible man has left an awful legacy. What he has done is poison civics and the American people.

He has turned them against one another with his propaganda machine. He monetized lies and division and hate and stoked it and made billions and billions of dollars doing it.

In the end, during the Trump years, his empire and the Maga Empire merged.

His news organizations became a form of state propaganda.

Rupert Murdoch for a time was the party, his anchors, his voice pieces.

And what he did with it was break faith in the American people with regard to some of the

foundations of the American way of life, including our absolute and utter dependency on elections.

Rupert Murdoch has passed a baton to his son Lackland,

but Lackland isn't Rupert. They're different.

Rupert was hard, tough, neolithic.

Rupert Murdoch was impenetrable to the criticism.

He truly didn't care.

That's not Lackland.

He's soft.

And he's inheriting a business in decline.

The American people are unplugging their cable boxes.
