0:17.2	We have a guest with us this morning, Steve Richardson. He lives in Canada. I know most of you listening
0:22.1	are in the United States, but in Canada. I know most of you listening are in the United States, but in Canada right now, the lockdown situation, depending I think on what province you're in, it probably is better or worse, but they're certainly taking the COVID situation a lot more seriously even now than we are here to the point that Steve Richardson who wanted to keep meeting with his church, he's a pastor, has been essentially
0:46.7	excommunicated from his presbytery that he's part of.
0:51.8	And so that's a fancy word for some of you who don't know what that means it's his association or
0:56.1	denomination that he's in so I'm very thankful Steve thank you for coming on and being willing to share your story with us.

1:21.6	you yeah so going on a sabbatical. Yeah, so I'll maybe start at the beginning to share that when COVID began, I was actually on a
1:30.5	sabbatical and it was our conviction that we needed to
1:34.8	continue to gather for worship. So we continue to do so. Most of the
1:38.8	congregation was not because the the elders had decided that it was best to comply.
1:44.5	We didn't know what was going on.
1:46.7	But we believed it was the right thing to do.
1:48.3	So I took my family and by taking my family to worship,
1:52.0	put the limit, we exceeded the limit, which at the time, I can't remember it was five or ten.
1:58.0	And so when presbytery learned that we had done that, there was a measure of outrage and began to take steps to
2:06.0	to see if they could stop me from doing that. A little shortly after that I wrote a
2:11.4	letter an open letter to the churches,
