The mainstream media today is out of touch and out of control.

We see dishonest reporting meant to push self-serving narratives, cozy relationships

between the press and the powerful elites of society, and no accountability when

they get it wrong or get caught. This has been going accountability when Trump

Trump ran for president in 2016, accelerated and became undeniable during the presidential election and COVID pandemic in

2020 and is now moving at breakneck speed. We've seen collusion and censorship. We've seen American citizens

docked, intimidated, and silenced. We've seen the Biden administration, big tech and mainstream media,

gaslight the American people, and many Americans

are left wondering what to believe anymore.

Well, my guest today has spent his entire life in the media from starting off as a

self-described journalism nerd in high school to working at CNN Fox, NBC, the Blaze, Steve Krakauer is his name and he's

a journalist and media critic and he's the author of the brand new book uncovered how the media got cozy with power, abandoned its

principles, and lost the people. Steve is unbelievably brilliant with this stuff and

he's probably forgotten more about the media industry in this country than I'll ever learn in my lifetime.

Steve and I discussed the state of journalism today in the media and how we got here, the dangers fall out of an unaccountable media establishment and most importantly how we can fix it.
