who I've probably fair to say,

I've waited 25 years to interview,

which is an indication, Steve, of how few interviews you give.

You don't feel the need to be putting yourself out there.

You never have.

Well, my existence in the public eye predates social media.

So I existed pretty well without it.

And I'm lucky that I don't need it to subsist.

And you never did, because that, I mean, we'll begin at the beginning, life-wise, rather than, rather

than career-wise. But you never actually wanted to be famous. You didn't, it was, you

wanted to be an actor, you wanted to be a performer, but the actual trappings of celebrity were

never something that you either sought nor particularly, I think, enjoyed.

Only as far as it enabled me to do stuff that I like to do, which is I like to communicate

with, I mean, insofar as I want to communicate with as many people as possible creatively.

Sure.

And so in that respect, then I need to reach an audience.

Otherwise, I'll be talking to myself.

But all the stuff that goes with it, no.

I mean, I've no real time for it, and it doesn't really interest me.
