I really mean this.

I feel like Steve Cohen, and you may not like this.

I understand a lot of people in the audience are going to like this,

but I'm being honest at what I'm hearing from Steve Cohen,

I think he's telling Met fans, if you don't show up,

because remember, I'm spending money out of my own pocket.

If you don't show up, I'm not sure I'm going to spend my own money at this rate.

Doesn't mean he's ever going to become a small market team or become the will

pawns.

Not suggesting that.

But we heard a lot in these answers at his conference, our press conference on Tuesday.

I heard a lot of Steve Cohen talking about payroll and spending more than he intended,

and he's able to, and he doesn't like the tax, but he does it because he really wants to win.

I want to play two answers he gave in an interview he did with the great Howie Rose on the Meet at the Apple podcast

because Steve Cohen, even before being asked about attendance, brought it up himself.

Listen to him, challenge Met fans when it comes to attendance when he made that appearance with Howie Rose.

This was recorded just a few days before he did this press conference.

I'm sort of looking at 2025 as an important year for the fans.

I mean, I, you know, committed and highly committed to putting the best product on the field.

I was a little disappointed in the attendance last year, given the quality of the team.

And I'm hoping that the fans come out this year because I just think it's a blast there.
