In our study today in 2nd Samuel chapter 6,

we will take a look at what our heart really desires.

Most people don't recognize the real desire of their heart. Because of this we try to satisfy our

desire with all the wrong things. Let's join Pastor John for our study and see the

real object of our desire and how we should go about properly obtaining it.

Second Samuel chapter six, David has just become the king of the entire country. He has ascended to the throne. He is the

king of the nation of Israel. And in this story we see one of the first acts that he did as king of the

entire country. David desired for the people that he was ruling over for the people of that nation.

That they would experience what David experiences. That is, David had a love for God, an intimacy with God. He experienced in his life

the glory of God. And David wanted all of the nation, particularly those in that capital city, Jerusalem,

to experience the glory of God.
