So the quick story here, Sebastian was covered in the Wall Street Journal today. And I want to thank my friends at the WSJ editorial page for covering the story was that about two or three months ago, the Rolling Stone had this piece about how I had been criticized.

In fact, on your show Sebastian, this idea of forgiving all this student loan debt, you know, half a trillion dollars. And I said people should pay back their debts. And so Rolling Stone had this hit piece on me saying, how dare Steve Moore say that people should pay back the money when they own when Steve Moore is not paid the taxes the

money was. And so this dated back to when I was nominated by President Trump to be on the Federal Reserve Board. I had a text lean against me. I forget it was about $50,000. And we had been in a fight with the IRS for several years, contending that actually they owed us money. Sebastian, not I owed them money.

This is an accusation from that that rag the Guardian from about three years ago, correct? Yeah, it was not it was a 2014 lean. We've been we've been in and dispute for many years and instantly just as an aside for this story because it's relevant to everyone.

You know, the IRS, the Democrats want to hire 80,000 new IRS agents. You've talked about that. And then the Democrats response to that is, well, gee, anybody who pays their taxes shouldn't be worried. Well, wait a minute. I it turns out I did pay my taxes. We had to pay thousands and thousands of dollars of accounting fees, lawyers, accountants, you know, to deal with this issue. And it's the one agency of government where you are truly, if you're an IRS investigation.
