Hello friends, so good to be back.

Welcome to the podcast on which I invite very special guests for lunch over real top class food and we chat

well you get to listen in. Now I've been trying to arrange lunch with my guest today

for what feels like years and frankly has been and what with one thing and another well it hasn't been possible

until now. National Treasure is no exaggeration he's an award-winning comedian, actor,

presenter, author and director he made his name initially with the comedy sketch show A Bit of

Brian Lorry Jeeves and Worcester soon followed and his general melt shit in the

hugely popular comedy series Blackadder. In preparation for this episode I had a

look at his international movie database list of credits

and it's one of the longest I've ever seen, 34 pages of A4 to be exact. He's hosted over 180 episodes at the TV panel show QI and has narrated all of the Harry Potter

audio books. He's also the best-selling author of four novels, three volumes of

autobiography and has re-told the Greek myths across three books which have all been Sunday Times

bestsellers and really I've only scratched the surface. It's the wondrous

Stephen Frye. The best therapist I have was in Santa Barbara.

Did you get his number from John Cleese?

Yes. You did? You got his number for John Cleese.

I did. So I'm standing on German Street in London St James's, which is the heart of Fancy London's

menswear, there's even a sculpture to Bow Brommel, the greatop, dressed up over there to my left.

Stephen Fry lives in this area, I won't say exactly where, but he's very close.

And I'm outside Wiltons, which is one of London's grandest restaurants.

It's been here since, well it's been in some form since 1742.
