My agent had read it and said there's a children's book and they'd like you to do it for an audio.

And I said, okay, thinking, you know, that's half a day's job, isn't it?

And that's a children's book. What could be better? It turned out to be a full novel length, but I started reading it, and I thought, this is rather good. So I agreed to do it. And I turned up, and there was Joe Rowling, and she likes to remind me of this. I said, you know, I think this is just wonderful.
