What did you love about this book so much that you wanted to share it with the Late Show Book Club?

Oh, gosh, so many things.

I think, well, I'm a sucker for Irish books. And,

you know, he sets the location so beautifully because it's in this town, Faja, in 1958. So I was

drawn into the mood and the location. But it really is, I think, also, it's a book about place and time, but it's also a book about

love and friendship and a coming-of-age story. There was just so many things I loved about it.
