I had a neighbor, or several neighbors in fact, who would take their dog for a walk in the morning

and let it poop outside someone else's front door. You know, the moral of the story being,

I want my dog to poop, I can't be bothered to clear it up, I might as well let it poop outside

someone else's door, because at least I'm sure I won't tread in it.

First things first.

How are we pronouncing Mird when we're mixing it with English?

When you say Moud.

So when you talk about it, you say you're in the Moud.

In the Moud, yeah, because I actually wrote a book called Dial M for Moud.

And if you say Dial M for Mird, it almost sounds like the book that I ripped the title off of Dial M for Mourder.

So it's like Dial M for mead, it's meand.

You know, I kind of pronounce it,

when I'm speaking in English, I pronounce

it, well, sort of anglicise

the French pronunciation only slightly.

So mead. By that logic, does that mean you say,

I'm just going to go down to the restaurant?
