So was Chase Hughes, our friend from Monumental Sports, and Chase Hughes had a chance to talk to him.

After the lottery concluded, here's what he said, I guess, about being potentially the number one pick to Washington.

AJ, what was your reaction when the Wizards got the number one pick?

Obviously, I've been better on myself for a little while to be a number one pick.

So initially just thinking, like, you know, when I'm finished the team.

I think I'm pretty versatile, adaptable,

so I can play with any wish.

It's very tense in this room.

This is probably your first experience doing this.

What was it like sitting there waiting for the news?

Me, confidently, I wasn't really worried about 14 to 3.

So I was kind of set it play out.

But then when all the guys sat there for the top of while,

I was like, all right, yeah, it's kind of getting real.
