I bet most of you were asleep last night when the biggest upset according to the line happened in the NCAA tournament so far this year.

The Arizona Wildcats were a seven and a half point favorite according to Las Vegas the line didn't budget all they were playing on the west coast in front of a very much partisan home crowd.

Most of the people on the east coast of the United States were asleep including yours truly who fell asleep at halftime of last night's game because it didn't tip off until 10 43 Eastern.

So the first thing I did this morning when my alarm went off I rolled over I pulled up the scores and I was pretty surprised to see that Xavier came back from a two point deficit at the half came back from a seven and a half point Vegas underdog perspective and punched its ticket for the elite eight.

Well they were played against Gonzaga the Zags in great shape to advance to their first final four again I'm guessing that most of you especially on the east coast didn't get to watch this whole game because it didn't until around 1 a.m. Eastern just about.

I don't know five hours ago and so let's go ahead and hit a couple of the reactions here is Sean Miller reacting to the defeat at the hands of his old schools.

Equally disappointed in myself you know our team never really ever established great confidence against the zone and I think in some ways that was the reason defensively that we weren't as good as we usually are or maybe better than we needed to be because it just the game never really felt good.

And that's on me you know your job when you get to this area when you get to this level of college basketball your best players got to be confident we have to get them shots.

I don't care what defense they're playing one three one two three man and man and I didn't feel like we did that tonight and that's probably the worst feeling you can have as a coach.

And he also talked a little bit more about the game said he felt good for his old school.

I cannot say enough good things about Xavier it's not because I used to be there I think their coaches awesome he had his way with us tonight.

He called plays after time outs underneath out of bounds he got his players some great shots.

And again the challenge was thank God the NCAA was kind enough to go ahead and put this game on tipping off at 1043 Eastern for those of us on the East Coast you have to get up early as well as a lot of kids.

Also other big wins Oregon gets the gets the very close win over Michigan we'll talk about the end of games situations here in a minute obviously Gonzaga gets a win despite the fact that or maybe because of the fact that West Virginia had what might have been the worst possession I have ever seen at the end of an NCAA tournament game.

Kansas the best team in the tournament so far absolutely destroyed Purdue they went on a 45 to 13 run or something like that which was just epic to see and they totally destroyed the boiler makers.

You know there's a bad beating going on when the game ended with nine white dudes on the floor that's how bad Kansas beat beat.

Purdue nine white guys finished the game including a white guy who almost banked in a free throw that's how bad that dude was white guy at the free throw line almost banked it in.

And like we said Xavier got the win the hero ball situation at in games by and large has become a trotious in college basketball I'm actually attributing it all to Steph Curry I think everybody has seen Steph Curry drain these three pointers with people draped all over him it's become the new highlight over the dunk.
