Park Lane in London. John and I got a chance to sit down with one of the stars of sentimental value,

the great Stellin Scarsgart. In the film, he plays a father who tries to reconnect with his

estranged daughters and convince one of them, played by Renata Reinsva, to star in his new movie.

We talked about how this film fits in with his long and storied career and how it feels to have gotten his first Oscar nomination.

We also talked about some of the lessons he's learned working on a huge range of sets.

So I read somewhere that Joachim Trir wrote this role for you and wanted you to be a part of this film.

How did that, did you know that when he approached you about it?

Yeah, he told me, that's the way he tried to sell it to me that way.

But I, of course, I'd seen his films and I was just waiting for him to call me one day,

and he called.

But when we met, we were sort of a little shy, both of us.

We were sort of walking around each other.

We sort of sniffed each other's asses and like dogs.

And wagging the tail at the same time.

But it's so rare to get a role that is not only written for you,

but it's also like a director that is made for you,

Joggin' Free Year.
