| 0:35.0 | Well, Julian's situation, the case against him, is really defining of our times. |
| 0:40.5 | What has been done to Julian is basically a reflection of what is being done to our |
| 0:52.1 | civil liberties, to our right to know, to our democracy. |
| 0:56.0 | Julian has been in Belmarsh High Security Prison for three and a half years. |
| 1:00.7 | He's not serving a sentence. |
| 1:01.9 | He is there because the United States has issued an extradition order for him. |
| 1:07.9 | And it's issued this extradition order through a profoundly flawed piece of legislation, |
| 1:18.6 | which was introduced during the aftermath of the war on terror, which basically fast-tracked |
| 1:23.7 | extraditions. |
| 1:25.2 | And he has extremely minimal ability to resist the extradition, technical grounds for extradition, |
| 1:37.5 | sorry, technical grounds to resist the extradition. |
| 1:41.0 | And so he's really fighting for his life, and this is a political case. |
