Chris Carter, NFL and NCAAF analyst, hosts the Locked on Steelers podcast, is joined by Jenna Harner of WPXI-TV. Diontae Johnson is rumored to want a major contract worth five years, $90 million from the Pittsburgh Steelers. But is he worth that? His numbers improved and his drop rate diminished in 2021, but the Steelers have a tough decision about extending him vs. looking for their WR1 elsewhere. With only Chase Claypool on the roster as a younger wide receiver, Kevin Colbert and Mike Tomlin must look to either free agency or the NFL Draft to replenish the wide receiver position. With prospects like Chris Olave, Christian Watson, Skyy Moore, Garrett Wilson, Jameson Williams and George Pickens available, the Steelers should be careful about paying Johnson a big contract unless he's polished his big mistakes out of his game. Also two former Steelers assistant coaches in Ray Horton and Mike Mularkey revealed that the Tennessee Titans were conducting sham interviews on Black head coaching candidates back in 2016 to get around the Rooney Rule.
