As the Pittsburgh Steelers get ready to face the Los Angeles Chargers,

Aaron Rogers knows that for the offense to work,

he has to continue to spread the ball around.

We talked to him about that and the benefits of doing that versus focusing on just his top playmakers.

He's from the athletic. You know him. You love him. He's their beat writer on the Steelers over there. Mike, I think that it's been kind of interesting to see the Steelers' offense kind of morph into several different stages. One week, they're pounding you with the run and the extra line. And the next week, they're chipping at you in the passing game. One week, they're hitting you with, you know, slants to D.K. Metcalf that go for 80-yard touchdowns. But they have found several different ways to win. But I think the truly interesting thing about this offense is that Aaron Rogers is fitting right in with all the different talents the Steelers have on the

offensive side of the ball.

And each week, it seems like he's working it to different guys.

And that can keep defenses on their toes and rather on their heels, trying to guess where

the ball is going in the Steelers' offense.

Yeah, and I think this is a great approach because obviously DK Metcalf is the number one target

within the Steelers offense. But when you ask him, who do you throw to when you're not throwing

to DK? He says, the open guy. And I think that I think it's interesting to have this discussion

around the trade deadline, Chris, because I'm probably, you know, I'm somewhere in the

middle, probably closer to the side that felt like they should have been aggressive, given up a

fourth and a sixth round pick to get a guy like Jacoby Myers. But I can also see the counter

argument. And the counter argument is, how many times have we had discussion saying, man,

Pat Friermuth needs more targets.

Man, John Hussmith needs more targets.
