Still, he could be a help to Kenny Pickett as another assistant coach with experience coaching quarterbacks in college and the NFL. But is he the right addition? With the addition of Thomas and the naming of Gerald Alexander as an assistant defensive backs coach, the Steelers seem to be changing their philosophy on keeping a small coaching staff.
