First, preseason game is tomorrow night, 7 p.m. in Jacksonville.

I won't be there. I'll be in Pittsburgh trying to catch up on some rest after training camp.

We have two more practices left to cover Monday and Tuesday.

The Steelers break camp Wednesday.

And then there will be the joint practice against the bucket ears next Thursday at Accruher Stadium.

But as of right now, we now know that the Steelers are going to rest the majority of their stars and starters for this upcoming game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Aaron Rogers, D.K. Medcalf, Johnny Smith, Pat Firmuth, Isaac Samaloo, Jalen Warren, Jalen Ramsey, Darius Slate, Joey Porter, Jr., Deshawn, Patrick, Quinn, Chris Boswell, Nick Herbig, T.J. Wat, Cam Hayward. None of them are set to play, per Mike Tomlin, as he said, in his press conference on yesterday, Thursday. And it shouldn't be too much of a surprise because the Steelers have had a very physical training camp.

They're giving these guys basically the weekend off.

Some of those guys didn't even practice.

Like I think John Smith set out the most practice on Thursday.

Jalen Ramsey hasn't practiced for a bit.

But it shouldn't be a shock that they're doing this.

Aaron Rogers even said as much during our Wednesday talk with him about how preseason is less, you don't really see much about preseason. It's more about getting guys reps that you need to see reps from. And a lot of those guys that we named there aren't guys that the Steelers need to see too much from at this point. I'd say maybe the two involved there might be a Jalen Warren or a Nick Herbig or a Joey Porter Jr. Because they're on the younger side. But like Aaron Rogers, D.K. Medkev, Johnny Smith, Pat Friarmouth, all those types of guys, they're good to go. T.J. Watt, you definitely don't need. Patrick, when you don't need. But I do think it opens up some opportunities to see other guys flourish. And that's what I want to talk about in this episode a little bit on top of what we're seeing in training camp.
