The offensive line, they're going to be learning all the positions. What's the benefit in that? Ryan Angelico, the offensive coordinator talked about that. But we also talked to the Steelers defensive coordinator. He talked about fixing the communication issues of the past, as well as

how the Steelers plan to fit their three, four, and nickel defense as their primary fits for this

season. I want to break down that because I do think that that could be a part of what could

fix the Steelers defense for the future and to have that discussion, we got our man Nick

Farrell, he's back from penlive.com. We always love having Nick on. Nick,

you and I have talked about Patrick Graham a lot.

In fact, I think we were actually the first show on Locked on Steelers that talked about Patrick Graham when we were out at the Senior Bowl discussing him.

And, you know, we've gotten a chance to talk to him twice now.

I've been impressed by how he's handled things, but, you know, he notes,

and we're going to play a clip of him talking about it in a bit here.

But he notes about how, like, you're going to see a lot of 5DB defensive formations with the Steelers. And they're still going to be built around the 3,4, and that's still going to be part of it. but he talked about trying to fit what the Steelers have on their roster into his scheme rather

than trying to fit what they want into what he believes.

So what did you take away from his discussion about how the nickel defense and how he plans to deploy the Steelers defense this year?

Well, I think it's going to all be kind of dependent on the matchup.

I think that's really what you talk about, right? I think the good thing about the Steelers is they put so much, so many resources in the DB room, the corner room, right, bring in Jamel Dean, drafting Dalin Everett, signing to Quam Bricker. They have a lot of guys they can utilize and a lot of different skill sets that they can kind of deploy right they have a lot
