On today's steakhouse confidential I have lured into my lair with promise of a

juicy delectable steak TV Sports Anchor reporter and now Sports Radio Shlub just like me Carol Maloney.

Now Carol is somebody who was once a radio colleague at W-T-E-M with me and

Andy Poland on the sports reporters and she has also worked at NBC 4 in

Washington DC as the Sports Director and Lead Sports Anchor. Before that she was at Comcast Sports Net in

DC and she is now hosting a two-hour radio show on a competing station in the market.

The Sports Capital AM 630. Not supposed to say that.

Anyway, she's one of the few women that I know in the business in the country doing

true sports radio.

In other words, blank canvas.

You don't have a bunch of ESPN producers filling you a stats and everything else

like they do on TV, and she's to fill it up. I love it. She does good job too, no matter what

she says. She also does dug out work for the Washington Nationals on Massen and she was along for the ride this past fall for the amazing

World Series Championship run.

Last night we talked Kobe, hashtag girl dads, getting over in the media, women and coaching, being given a chance you didn't quite

deserve, the perfect moment in all of sports and a bunch of other stuff in between.

Carol is a mother of two boys, an unabashed captain of team girl,

and one hell of an athlete herself, so don't try her. I think as always a great conversation.

Why are you back again? For the steak.

Oh for the steak.

I always love a gal who loves a steak.
