All right, good morning, traders. This is steady trade treats, and this is our first episode. I am one of your host, Bryce Tooey, joined by my co-host, Matthew Monaco. And our goal here is we just want to give you the top news of the hottest stocks three times week. These are coming out Monday, Wednesday, Friday. And today, we want to talk about one of the hottest stocks of last week, which is very obviously Kodak, guys.

0:21.6

This went from in a matter of what, two or three days from about $2 a share all the way up to

0:26.5

60. If you're a day trader, you've heard of this stock. And even if you're not, you probably

0:31.4

still heard of it. So we just kind of want to dig into the why is the what's and the how and maybe what to look for in the future in the next coming days or even, even week here. So that's no, totally, man. Funny enough, funny, uh, funny, uh, side note for both Bryce and I is Kodak is actually headquartered in Rochester, New York, uh, which is where we both went to school. So, I mean, I've driven by this company's headquarters.

1:16.2

I don't even know how many times. It's wicked. So it's completely wild. One of the sketchiest companies out there, though, even though, you know, it helped to build up Rochester as a city, 20, 30, 40 years ago when it was like one the largest companies in the world. But something you hear a lot of traders talk about is you have to adapt or die. So you have to adapt to the market or you end up perishing blow up your account.

1:19.8

And I mean, that's the history of Kodak.

1:22.1

They were one of the largest companies in the world, famous for their cameras.

1:26.4

But when the iPhone came out,

1:28.1

they didn't adapt. They kept their same business model. And as a result, I think they went bankrupt

1:33.0

in like 2011, somewhere around that time frame, about three years after the iPhone came out

1:38.4

because they just, they didn't adapt. And since then, they've been one of the sketchiest stocks on

1:43.6

the market. Yeah. So, and essentially, they, been one of the sketchiest stocks on the market.

1:44.7

Yeah.

1:49.2

So, and essentially, after their failed film camera company,

1:51.8

they kind of just switched into whatever seemingly anyways,

1:53.0

whatever was hot at the time.

1:57.8

Recently, they've been involved with Bitcoin, blockchain technology, and now supposedly pharmaceuticals.

2:03.8

Again, very sketchy, just try to keep up with whatever is going on at the moment. But that being said, they got supposedly great news from

2:10.0

President Trump. I think it was on the 28th, the morning of the 28th or maybe aftermarket on the 27th.

2:15.3

And so again, after closing Monday, July 27th at $2.62 a share,

2:22.0

Kodak gapped all the way up to 963 by open on Tuesday, July 28th.

2:27.8

And now it did close the day pretty weak relative to how strong it seemed,
