Way back in the early days of cinema, movie theaters would often play animated shorts before the film. This is actually how audiences were first introduced to Disney characters, like Mickey Mouse

and Donald Duck.

Another studio in town called Warner Brothers jumped on this bandwagon in 1930

with a series called Looney Tunes. It was an immediate hit, and that success continued all the way into the 50s,

when Looney Tunes started to appear on television. By this point, Looney Tunes had developed lots of its most

lovable characters. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd, Marvin the Martian, Yosemite Sam, and the list

goes on and on.

Amazingly, back then, almost all of these voices were performed by one single person, Mel Blank.

And over the span of his career, Mel was the voice of nearly 400 different characters. Here are just a few.
