something we've never attempted to do,

may never attempt to do again.

We're going to make and publish an episode in one day.

Today, it will be on your feed American eclipse. The reason we're doing this is because today is the eclipse.

It is the great North American eclipse.

There's not going to be another total solar eclipse in America for the next 20 years.

And it's happening today in just a few hours.

The moon is going to pass in front of the sun.

It is going to cast a shadow that stretches from Mexico to Canada, the path of

totality. And along with millions of other people, I am watching this today in

Hot Springs, Arkansas, where we have been throwing this enormous

Eclipse festival that has been going on for the past few days. I've got my recording gear with me. I'm here with some of my co-producers and

we're going to be reporting what we witness as this thing happens. It's going to be a really

special moment for not just in the sky, but for people

across the entire continent, this true kind of cross-sectional moment that's so much bigger than any single person who's watching it.

So we are going to be back soon with an update from that moment, from the center of totality.
