Summary

Diane Staudte and her daughter, Rachel Staudte, conspired to kill their immediate family. Their first victim was Diane's husband, Mark Staudte, followed by their autistic 26-year-old son, Shaun Staudte, five months later. Sarah Staudte, another daughter who was also poisoned, survived but suffered physical and neurological damage. Diane Staudte was convicted in 2016 and received a life sentence without parole, while Rachel Staudte pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2015 and was sentenced in March 2016 to life in prison with the possibility of parole after testifying against her mother.
