The injury bug began to take a bite out of the 49ers in the summer when Debo Samuel broke a bone in his foot.

Yesterday, that son of a borg came back for the rest of the meal. News broke Monday that both Jimmy Garapolo and George Kittle will be out indefinitely due to an ankle and a foot injury respectively.

Garapolo will miss at least six weeks after aggravating his high ankle sprain and Kiddle will miss at least eight weeks with a broken bone in his foot.

And yes, that's the same foot Kyle Shanahan said wasn't broken on Sunday after the game.

In the 275 days since the Super Bowl, the 49ers have seen their starting quarterback,

starting running back, back up running back, starting tight end, back up tight end,

number one wide receiver, number one pass rusher, number two pass rusher, number one cornerback, and a

starting defensive tackle all go on injured reserve. Not to mention all the other guys that have

gone down this year. Now, aside from the injury news, Kwan Alexander also played in Super Bowl

54 for the 49ers, but he won't be playing with the team anymore after they traded him to the

Saints on Monday. In return, the 49ers acquire linebacker Kiko Alonzo and a fifth round draft pick.
