with your San Francisco 49ers. The Niners announced yesterday that defensive lineman Eric

Armstead has become the fourth 49er this season to test positive for COVID-19. And as such,

they have placed him on the reserve COVID list. Contact tracing will determine if other players will also be placed on the COVID list,

and the chances of that seem pretty high,

considering the positive test came after the Saints game,

as well as the long plane ride home back to California.

Fortunately, the team is on their by week,

which will give them some time to sort out all these after effects.

By the way, players who have been confirmed as close contacts will also need two consecutive negative results before being allowed back into the facility.

Armstead's positive test comes less than two weeks after Kendrick Bourne, Trent Williams, and Brandon Ayuk all missed

the team's week nine loss to the Packers because they were on the COVID-19 list. With no game

until the 29th, the 49ers and their fans are going to have to sit with Sunday's loss for quite some time.
