Hi, I'm John McEnore and you're listening to the tennis podcast.

0:12.6

Well hello and welcome to the tennis podcast. It is day two of the Stattle Masters tennis here at

0:18.0

the Royal Albert Hall. We have a special edition of the show. Every day of this tournament,

0:22.6

yesterday we were speaking to Pat Cash about 1987 and going back in time to his Wimbledon

0:29.3

victory hearing all about that and his thoughts about tennis. Today, Catherine Whitaker,

0:34.1

we have an even more exciting guest. Guess who it is. Guess.

0:38.3

Well that's cheating because I know because I'm sitting right next to him.

0:40.8

It's John McEnore. Hello John. How's it going?

1:24.1

match I ever saw on the tour was you against Bjorn Borg in Doha. I remember it going in at the

1:30.3

start of the match. You walked out with Bjorn with your arm around his shoulder and you said,

1:34.1

don't let's play this champions tie-break. Let's play three. Did I say that? Did you?

1:39.5

Well that was a long time ago. Thankfully I've realized that in terms of me being able to

1:47.1

get out there and play a little bit longer that this thing has worked out pretty well because

1:51.6

at the time it seemed sort of crazy, but now it's really become part of not only the seniors

1:56.2

tour, but even doubles and things like Team Tennis shorting their length of their matches and
