With America reaching her 250th anniversary of independence this year,

revisionist history bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell's podcast about things overlooked and misunderstood

explores the story of what was once the biggest secession movement in the U.S.

since the Civil War. This secession movement happened on a large island in New York City Harbor

and set in motion a chain of events that led to so much of the politics of resentment

so prevalent in America today.
