It's the beginning of the 2025 Indiana General Assembly and legislative session as we put

So it is the beginning of the General Assembly as we're putting this together today.

And look, these guys have created a whole bunch of messes for themselves from the budget with the relatively flat revenue forecast, the Medicaid debacle, property taxes that are up in flames.

They got a lot of irons in the fire this year.

They certainly do, and they've got a new governor sharpening his pencil and hopefully getting

to the efficiency of government. And so they've got a new administration., I'm certain it's exciting happenings at the State House now, because if you're a legislator, this is what you dream about.

This is what you want to do, and this is time to earn your money.

And I'm hopeful for the next three or four months that they really put their nose,

the grindstone, and get the job done for the people of Indiana.

All right.

So let's talk about the big one, which is property taxes.

We had Nikki Kelly from the Capitol Chronicle on our Kendall and Casey show yesterday,

and she said, yeah, Braun's made this a top priority, but I don't, she didn't say this

verbatim, but basically what she was saying was a bunch of these lawmakers don't appear to have

any inclination or motivation, maybe as a back, a better term to use, to go along
