I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson here for another week,

another week of college baseball.

It's fun, most of the time.

It hadn't been as fun this year, or last year, for that matter.

The sad part about this year compared to last year is it felt like, you know,

hey, we were still chasing some things in the middle part of the season.

And I'll be honest with you right now, I think at this point, it's best not to expect

Ms. MSU to make an NCAA regional.

I think the best we can hope for at this point is to make Hoover. That's it.

And it sucks to fill that way this early in the SEC schedule, but with the 1 in 8 record,

it's going to be difficult. It really is. You know, you'd hope to be somewhere around 500,

and we still got OSU to play, Arkansas to play and Ole Miss to play.

There are some teams out there that are similarly situated as us.

Maybe perhaps we can take a series or two, but, you know,

State happened to remember to do that against SEC play.

So there really isn't a lot of evidence at this point that suggests that there will be a turnaround.

We just have to continue to hope that they can find the pieces and mix and match some things back and forth. And you know,

starting to get some guys back, starting to get some resolution on others. And of course,

breaking news today is that Pico Cohn is done for the year without ever pitching a pitch in a game this year.

And that's very unfortunate.
