As the Bulldogs take on Vanderbilt, we'll preview Vanderbilt in its entirety

on Friday's show as we look to the weekend. And working on some things to get some intel for you to prepare you.

We'll talk a little bit about what's going on with Vanderbilt today as we kind of recap the SEC midweek.

There will be some other games tonight. But again, it was another wild weekend, this past weekend, but the midweek games have been problematic for the league.

They have been.

People have asked me, see, what do you think?

What's the cause of this?

I've given it some time and, you know, some windshield time to kind of consider that question.

And I believe, really, what it boils down to is the portal.

The portal is robbing teams of pitching debt and it is negatively impacting the results in midweek.

Because nobody wants to just be a midweek guy, right?

Everybody wants to be a weekend guy in some capacity. And so a lot of guys aren't willing to just kind of sit and develop. It's like, hey, why would I stay at Mississippi State or Arkansas when I could go to Southern Miss or Arkansas State and be a bigger deal there

and get the opportunity to eat up more innings.

I think that mindset is kind of what's driving some of this.

I don't think it's all about money, as some people think.

I think it's about opportunity.
