Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host, Steve Robertson, here on the magnificent Monday edition of the yard.

I needed that day off on Sunday. I did. I was very, very upset and disappointed, as you guys were as well.

We'll talk a little bit about games two and three. We'll talk about UAB a little bit the weekend it was in the SEC

And whatever else is going on reminder this Saturday you'll get a chance to see the Mississippi State football team scrimmage at Davis Wade Stadium

Encourage you to make plans to attend it It will be a early morning. It is a busy day on

campus. Most days are this time of year. But yeah, I mean, guys, I hate losing more than I love

winning. And that's an honest confession. I absolutely hate losing. I think when you lose

a little part of you die, does. And then when you win again, you're kind of reborn. But yeah,

it's tough, man. It is because it's kind of a loss of expectations and dreams and hosts. But the

reality of it is we got six more SEC weekends to go.

And as I wrote yesterday, back in 2016, we got swept at home by Texas A&M and won the next

five weekends, including three sweeps and won the Southeastern Conference.

So it ended up being a top eight national seat for the first time in school history.

So there's a lot left to be done.

And a lot of you, of course, and I say this with love.

Okay, please understand, I'm not in any way casting aspersions at anybody that believes this way.

There are some people that they forget that we swept Vanderbilt and

then Ole Miss on the road in back-to-back weeks. And then we lose this series at home. And it's like

we forget what we've done. One weekend is not going to define this season. As I wrote yesterday,

the only weekend that defines the season is the final one.

And either you're the last team to win, or you're the last team to lose.

And so that's important to understand.
