discussion on the state of Illinois new state record small mouth bass. We're going to

go over the details and why it was kind of a surprising catch, and

then we're going to get to one of the worst rods of all time and why you should stay away

at all costs.

So today we're going to start with this story out of Illinois.

It's right out of downtown Chicago.

The new Illinois State Record Smallmouth was caught,

I think about two weeks ago.

So there's a really nice article on it.

And as I was reading the article there was some

things that intrigued me and some things I definitely want to discuss because

this isn't just a normal state record that was caught on you know a giant boat out in the middle of Lake Michigan or it's a small

mouse so not necessarily at a private pond but a lot of times for kind of

Midwestern largemouth that's how you're going to see the record broken,

is it somebody's farm pond?

This isn't it at all.
