We had a reduced slate of fixtures, it's fair to say. No championship action last weekend. Three games in League

1 with another to come just hours after we record between Bolton and Burton and 11 League 2 games.

Now, George Alex with me, I'm Ali Maxwell. At the very least, George, I think we were served up

what was a pretty entertaining weekend, some great games, some lots of like anger

and red cards, which seems to have been an early theme of this season, a lot of nice goals,

but mostly a lot of terrible misses as well. It was at League 2 in the spotlight for the most

part and it didn't disappoint. No, it didn't.

I mean, as you say, a lot of red cards.

Some quite, I don't know, it kind of felt like a weekend where the referees were quite

keen to get their red cards out when I was watching it all back.

Having been at a wedding on Saturday, I had to catch up.

And I was quite surprised to see the red shown for a few of them.

So yeah, you say angry.

I say maybe it was the refs who were angry.

They felt jilted on this Saturday or maybe angry that most of their mates were getting a day off.

But they've been selected to referee.

But yeah, I mean, loads of interesting results, I thought, especially in League 2.

A couple of interesting performances in League 1. And we're going to get to it, but just, I thought, especially in league two, a couple of interesting performances in league one.

you can almost, you know, you're almost immune to it after they've been in the league for a season
