Tonight we're doing a little State of the Union Giants podcast. We are opting out of previewing the Giants Cowboys game this coming week. And the Giants are 17 and a half point underdogs in Dallas. I haven't seen them. I can't remember the last time. Even the Fromm year, I don't remember them being 70 and a half point dogs at any point, though. Wild to think about. But there could be a light at the end of this tunnel is what I'm thinking about now, Nick. And that's what I've been thinking about for six days now. If I'm going to be honest, or five days or over long, it's been since that Sunday game because I do believe that with the right quarterback on this team, the turnaround is going to be a lot fast than people think. I do believe that with the right quarterback on this team, it's not going to be any fools gold seasons where they win a game, win a playoff game or grind to a playoff, start, you know, seven and two, then go three and seven and one. And, you know, they beat all these bad teams. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Look at the bangles. Look at the Jaguars. Look at these are just recent examples. There's plenty more throughout NFL history. If you get QB right and if you get

a difference maker at quarterback, especially if he's good early and you could get him right for the

rookie contract where you can then unload cap at other positions, you have a chance to really become

a contender fast in the NFL. And so there may be a light at the end of this tunnel. Unfortunately,

Nick, that light involves the Giants losing football games. And that there may be a light at the end of this tunnel. Unfortunately, Nick, that light

they're in right now. They have eight more games to go, right? And it's hard for me to see any

value in winning any of these. It's honestly hard for me to see any of the op.

It's almost hard for me to even see the opposite, Nick, where like devastation should

they win two, three, four games.

And I know Tyrod Taylor just said today he's not done for the year.

I would imagine he will immediately be inserted back as the starter when he's healthy,

which is going to, you know, give the Giants a really good chance to win games.

It is what it is at that point, Nick.

I've said it before.

I'll say it again.

I'll never root against the Giants when Sunday comes.

But I like how Big Cat on part of my take describes this. The entire week, I'll go into it knowing that I should want the Giants to lose this game. The day of, I'll root for him to win. minutes after, I'll enjoy it, hours after, I'll be like, shit, did we just pull a Jets?

Because that's what happened right now. Imagine if the Jets had Trevor Lawrence right now and not Zach Wilson. And that's what they cost themselves when they won that game against the Rams a few years ago. Trevor Lawrence on the Jets right now, they could be looking at a potential Super Bowl run. Zach Wilson on the Jets right now? Well, we all know what that looks like, Nick. So without further ado, let's wait for a few more people to get in.
